Those areas were the Kingwood area for a new Pre K-8 school for Kingwood Elementary and Central Preston Middle: Valley area for the addition of West Preston Middle School grades 6-8 at the current Valley Elementary site, and the Southern area for South Preston Middle, Tunnelton-Denver and Fellowsville Elementary Schools. Current Schools at Bruceton, Terra-Alta/East Preston, Rowlesburg, Preston High School and Aurora will remain with yearly Levy improvements. Preston County Commissioners - ..."The Preston County Commission continues its efforts to create an environment where people feel safe to live and work and enhance the beauty of the countryside. On Tuesday March 24, 2009, Preston County Commissioners Craig Jennings, Vicki Cole and Dave Price tentatively approved a $6,024,571 budget that includes funding for an additional bailiff for the courthouse; funding for a part-time litter control officer; money for an additional secretarial position for the Sheriff, and funding to allow the part-time position at the county’s Animal Shelter to go full-time. Also to continue the commitment to public safety the Commission set aside $2,000 to help support the organized Neighborhood Watch programs in the county. "
