Chamber’s Executive Director attends Legislative Kick-Off

Executive Director Kristy Ash attended the WV Chamber of Commerce Legislative Kick-Off on February 7th at the Marriott Town Center in Charleston, WV. During the event, she was able to meet with West Virginia Legislatures and member of the WV Chamber of Commerce.

Ash had a busy few days in Charleston, attending events on behalf of the Preston County Chamber of Commerce. She also attended the WV Chamber of Commerce open house held on February 8th, where she networked with Chamber representatives from around the state.

“My goal is to develop strong relationships and communications with local and state officials in an effort to keep abreast of city, county, regional and state issues impacting the business community and our members. I want to provide a common voice for our members who might otherwise go unheard on important issues,” stated Ash.

The Chamber will be participating in the upcoming Preston County Day at the Legislature on March 21st and they encourage area businesses to participate. If you’d like to participate or want more information, please contact Roberta Baylor at the Preston County Economic Development Authority at 304-329-2299. “As we approach the 2017 Preston County Day at the Legislature, I’d like to invite our members and the business community to let us know if they have any concerns or issues they’d like us to address with our local and state representatives on March 21st,” Ash said. “Please send your concerns/issues to info@prestonchamber.com or call us at 304-329-0576.”
