Carrico’s Wine Bar and Artisanware Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting
Kingwood, W.Va., – July 30, 2024 –The Preston County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the Grand Opening of Carrico’s Wine Bar and Artisanware located at 42 East Main Street Rowlesburg WV. We invite you to join us this Saturday, August 3rd at 1:00 pm for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Enjoy refreshments and a chance to win a door prize. This event is free and open to the public.
According to Co-Owner Tim Carrico Weaver, Carrico’s Wine Bar and Artisanware is located in a historical building that was constructed by the Hooton Brothers of Rowlesburg in the late 19th century. “In 1907, the wooden frame structure was renovated, and the front was covered in molded tin. The motif was Greek Revival, very popular at that time. The two-story building was sold to Adams and Moore who turned it into a downtown department store. The old ladder track is still hanging on the ceiling. The ladder was used to reach merchandise on high shelves lining the right-side wall. The ceiling is covered with decorative tin. Part of my goal was to restore it. Hopefully, visitors will find it interesting.”
“Come out and join us for an afternoon of fun, while we celebrate the opening of another Preston County business. Carrico’s Wine Bar has so much to offer, from the beautiful historic building to the wine selection and artisanware, this is a business you definitely want to visit,” stated Kristy Ash, Executive Chamber Director.
