Preston County Humane Society (PCHS) is an all volunteer, nonprofit organization governed by a board of directors who serve without compensation. Funds to support our programs come from membership dues, donations, memorial gifts, fundraisers, and grants. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by Law.Pet overpopulation is a critical problem in Preston County and in West Virginia. The best answer to the tragedy of unwanted, neglected and homeless animals is spay and neuter.PCHS offers financial ASSISTANCE to help pay the cost of spay/neuter procedures. We especially reach out to low income families and seniors. Income GUIDELINES to qualify for assistance are generous.

Spaying (for females) and neutering (for males) has many benefits besides preventing unwanted litters. The procedure may reduce roaming, marking and aggression making pets easier to live with. It can also help pets live a longer, healthier life.

WE BELIEVE SPAY AND NEUTER SAVES LIVES
