WV Caring Celebrates 40 Years of Hospice
Kingwood, W.Va., – December 14, 2023
WV Caring hosted the Preston County Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Membership Meeting on Thursday, December 14th in Arthurdale, WV. Those in attendance celebrated WV Caring’s 40 Years of Hospice with great food and company, while enjoying the beautifully decorated WV Caring office. Susie Huggins, Chamber member and long-time supporter of WV Caring won the door prize, a basket full of WV Caring 40-year celebration items.
Malene Davis, WV Caring’s President and Founder spoke to guests about the group’s mission and the importance of strong relations with other community organizations and businesses. In a video that played throughout the evening, Malene shared her advice and wisdom gained from 40 years of experience working in hospice care. “Often times people say that they haven’t given up hope and aren’t ready for hospice care, but hospice care workers don’t negate hope, we embrace it.
